http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,201586,00.html "We found that people are as impaired when they drive and talk on a cell phone as they are when they drive intoxicated at the legal blood-alcohol limit," said Frank Drews, an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Utah." ________________________________________ Hopefully states will soon pass laws with stiff fines for those caught on the cell phone while driving. I drive for a living and have had several near accidents. And as the article points out, folks on the phone are simply unaware of what's going on around them, to a remarkably reduced degree. If the risk is worse than driving while intoxicated, then maybe there should be a MACP: mothers against cell phones. It's just a bit idiotic: "Let's increase our brain tumor risk while risking other people's lives!!" | ||
