Cell phone risks while driving as bad as being drunk

"We found that people are as impaired when they drive and talk on a cell phone as they are when they drive intoxicated at the legal blood-alcohol limit," said Frank Drews, an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Utah."

Hopefully states will soon pass laws with stiff fines for those caught on the cell phone while driving. I drive for a living and have had several near accidents. And as the article points out, folks on the phone are simply unaware of what's going on around them, to a remarkably reduced degree. If the risk is worse than driving while intoxicated, then maybe there should be a MACP: mothers against cell phones.

It's just a bit idiotic:

"Let's increase our brain tumor risk while risking other people's lives!!"
