There may not be anyone on here who hasn't read Thomas Merton, but just in case

Merton's book, The Sign of Jonas, is a wonderful read for anyone whether you're looking for a deeper spiritual experience or just a peaceful day in the life. Merton's way of poking fun at himself, his humility, his sharing of the confusion in his own soul, his down to earth approach to the spiritual life is truly enjoyable. Lots of wisdom here too!

I also like his book, Dialogues with Silence, which holds prayers, thoughts, and pencil drawings of Merton's.
