Hit the "Little Books" link and check out the "Cryptic Secrets of Star Trek." I always knew Roddenberry was way ahead of his time. Actually there's a fair bit of wisdom in what the author has to say. Reminds of the "Everything I needed to know I Learned in Kindergarten" book. Right now I'm trying to decide whether that "Horta" episode (with the rock-eating blobs) was about "diversity" training, environmentally-friendly mining techniques, or if it was just the script writers having a little fun with Shatner. (He finally runs into an alien-of-the-week that he can't, err, make his usual contact with. Apparently he was notorious for that.)
