Well, tomorrow, Tues. I go for a consultaion at the sleep clinic. Do you think I should mentioned anything about kundalini to them? Thanks, Katy

Sorry to be late for this, but it couldn't hurt, Katy. If they know something, fine; if not, then maybe they'll look it up. Let us know how it went.

O.K. thanks Phil. The consultation went fine. Tonight is the night I go and stay there overnight for monitoring, etc. Should be an interesting experience, tho I am a bit apprehensive about it. Would appreciate a prayer or two. :-) Thanks, Katy

Hi All, Well, my experience at the sleep clinic was quite interesting to say the least. I did't think that I slept at all but when I went to the S.C. Dr. the following week, he said that I slept for a little over five hours! My diagnosis: Sleep Paralysis. He said I do not have sleep apnea, nor narcolepsy. He said I also have what he called high alpha intrusion.. Now that sounds interesting, doesn't it. Supposedly, it is related to fibromyalgia. He prescribed Lexapro which is also an antidepressant, and that is the type of medication that is used for S.P. also. This Dr. at the sleep clinic is one of the top sleep specialist in the country. However, I didn t get a chance to ask him about HSP nor kundalini. So far, not sure if the med. is helping. I still had S.P. episodes.. three of them in one night last week. I do believe I am being healed though. The episodes seem different.. not as intense. There are other changes I am making in my life, aside from the meds. that I think are helping. Thanks for your prayers and all your input. Katy

Sounds like progress is being made, Katy. It would have been interesting to hear what the doctor thought about a kundalini connections, just to know if he was aware of the process. Sounds like you're getting good help. I hope it continues.

Consider finding a suitable Mantra for yourself. Mantram is the practice of mentally repeating certain syllables, words or phrases that help unify consciousness, counteract negative mental states, and focus the thinking mind. It is a wonderful way to counteract damage to the mind and body caused by thoughts that foster anxiety, agitation and unhappiness. Repetition of a mantram is a portable technique, requires no drugs, training or equipment, can be used in almost any circumstance, and is especially helpful for people with restless minds like mine. Try it when you have difficulty relaxing, concentrating or falling asleep.I am beginning to find success through my Mantra, and I sleep better and better, which also means less and less in wasteful duration. Thank you.

Sakthi, I have a restless mind all right. Maybe a very active mind would be a better way to put it, however. I do practice Centering Prayer which uses a "prayer word", which in a way would be like a mantra. I have also been practicing conscious breathing, more specifically, circular breathing which I recently learned about from my massage therapist. She invited me to her final training session and I breathed for her. That was some experience!! I am writing an article about that and will share it here in a new topic. Thanks for your reply.
