I want to take the three vows but I don't want to enter an Order or Congregation. I feel called to be a hermit. My spiritual advisor says all he knows about is something called Promises. He is a priest and says its official. One problem is Promises sounds like something 12year old girls do? He doesn't really know much about it and so I am checking around.

What is the definition of being "consecrated"? What are my options?
