Quite a collection of links, Michael. Thank you. I'd like to add: - http://shalomplace.com/direction/ I don't think so, although it's likely that counselors will becoming more attuned to the spiritual roots of some of the psychopathologies they're working with. Not all psychological problems are spiritual ones, however; most neuroses are repressed emotions, for example, that one is not willing to face. You don't need a spiritual director to help you do that. - - - I'll be moving this thread to the Christian Spirituality Issues forum, where I think it has a better fit.

Phil, Looks like a good lineup of directors and people who are also working on themselves. I'd look for someone who has been through a transformative process themself, a recovery program, Jungian work, Enneagram or twelve steps. Those faces seems gentle and my intuition says that they probably are sensitive and know how to listen. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obi.../103-3264110-1285643 I have this book in the TBR pile. Picked it up from Contemplative Outreach. Do you have this one? caritas, mm <*)))))><
