The One whose family fled to a foreign land to escape murderous soldiers stands with Ukrainian refugees. He understands the pain and anguish they suffer from a power-hungry bully.
No tear falls in Ukraine that escapes his notice and compassion, no shedding of blood apart from his own on the cross.
The delusional invaders "who know not what they do" are also within the scope of his concern and forgiveness. No dark hour is beyond his loving providence.

Jesus, God-with-us, may your peace and justice come to Ukraine and Russia.

The Holy Spirit works in the consciousness of all concerned to direct their attention to notice significant needs . . .
- their hearts to be open to compassion
- their will to engage in loving action.

That's always true for all of us all the time, but most especially so when a tragedy of such magnitude is unfolding.
