NeoOrthodoxy
Neo is a character in the Matrix, the Savior of the transhumans. NeoOrthodoxy is Karl Barth, Savior of
twentieth century Protestant theology. I used to see
it as too liberal, but am interested in The Epistle to the Romans by Barth and all of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who is beloved by liberals and conservatives alike.

Now that I think of it, Neo was quite heterodox at times. Wink

Been working my way through Bonhoeffer and Barth.
Ethics is ingenious. The Cost of Discipleship is a challenge. Am I willing to pay the price? No Rusty Swords causes me to rise to the spiritual warfare.
Not easy when I feel like a truck ran over me, which is 90% of the time. Some days you get the bear, and some days the bear gets you! Frowner Nevertheless, I enjoy the battle.

Been hanging with the upper crust of late. I crawl
out to a group and back to bed in the hermitage.
These guys make six figures and that can be intimidating, yet we save each other's lives, a strong bond indeed. Not everyone in the corporate
world is unethical, and it's nice to be reminded. Smiler I used to charge off with them in shiny wingtips and a double windsor, briefcase and sword in hand. Now
I'm flat on my back, blurry eyed with book or screen in front of me, thinking about the life to come and the past, present, future tents (sic)...
