The Game
This film demonstrates the human condition in
a unique and unusual drama where Michael Douglas is a money manager with a $600 million hangup. His money owns him, and his entire world revolves around managing and worrying about his wealth. He is divorced and about to turn 48, the same age his father was when he jumped off the roof, and you can tell that Douglas is considering that option.

His brother Sean Penn buys him the dream vacation, a fantasy vacation and role playing fantasy called The Game. The problem for Douglas is that he does not know who he is without his wealth and the security symbols that go with it.

A Benedictine abbot once asked Baba Ram Dass
why he thought Judas betrayed Christ with a kiss.
Ram Dass replied that perhaps he was enjoying "the
game." I'm still thinking about that one...

As a demonstration of the human condition and the illusions that go with it, I give this film a five star rating. Smiler
