On this thread I'll maintain a literature review showing which modalities of psychotherapy are viewed in peer-reviewed medical journals as promising for the treatment of various mental illnesses.

I've never heard of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, but it seems effective.
Looks like the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy was also effective. BTW, that seems to be just basic spirituality, or something akin to Buddhism. In fact, it seems many of these therapies are about enabling and supporting the ascendance of spiritual consciousness to govern one's lower psychological/primate nature.
