A few "feel-good" movies Login/Join

Look them up on http://www.rottentomatoes.com/

A. Glory Road. I saw this one recently and thoroughly enjoyed it, as I was a 14 yr. old at the time and well-remember the amazing story of Texas Western basketball. Very well done! The civil rights issues are played up a bit, but it's certainly possible that they would have figured significantly during that time.
- currently showing in theaters.

-> those below can be rented.

B. Remember the Titans. Denzel Washington is always good, and he's at his best in this one. A good movie about football, racial tensions, and learning to pull together as a team.

C. Seabiscuit. The little horse that helped people in the Depression years have hope in better days for the underdogs. A great cast of characters, including Toby Macquire.

D. Hidalgo. Another good "horse story," this one set in the Middle East. This little horse has "heart." Viggo Mortenson and Omar Shariff are very good.

E. Dreamer. Yet another horse story. Apparently Seabiscuit showed there's a market for such, and this movie didn't disappoint.

F. Miracle on Ice. Story of the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team that beat the USSR for the gold.

G. Hardball. Keanu Reeves, Diane Lane, a little league baseball team in the slums. Good stuff.

H. Pay if Forward. Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt. A good message for all.
