I am reading an autographed copy someone pushed into my hand the other day, someone who knew her. Very powerful! She believed that it was not only possible, but that living the gospel without compromise could change the whole world:

"The Good News is God's love for us, and his one great commandment is to love. If we are living that commandment and not just rendering lip service to it, we shall change the face of economics, politics, technology and anything else that needs to be changed."

She was an activist, author, mystic, and schooled in psychology, theology, Catholicism and Orthodoxy. Went riches to rags to riches to rags.
She lived it. Lord willing I will read many of her books. Remarkable woman...

I read The Gospel Without Compromise and Poustinia many years ago and thoroughly enjoyed them. Catherine Doherty is mystic and prophetic type in the mold of Dorothy Day and well worth reading, imo. Good one, MM.
