The movie Bruno is out this weekend and is already getting raving reviews -- just like Borat did a couple of years ago. Once again, Sacha Baron Cohen roams around the U.S., dishonestly interacting with real Americans, attempting to expose our prejudices and prudishness. Bruno even features a sex scene with himself and a male pygmy (yes, Bruno plays a gay man). I hear it's not for the faint of heart.
What is it people like about these kinds of movies? Have any of you seen them? I don't get it. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Phil, |

I guess stupidity and ignorance are often funny.

Well Barbara Walters didn't like it. Did you read her review?

Right, Derek, and good for Barbara Walters, Katy!
See this positive review from USA Today, however: - http://www.usatoday.com/life/m...09-07-09-bruno_N.htm Note that she says it's "thin-skinned" folk who don't much like it. |
