After a long bout with cancer, Jim Arraj died last night with his wife, Tyra, and daughter, Elizabeth, at his side.

Jim has been a dear friend and mentor to me since 1986. I will miss him.

I was privileged to visit with Jim and Tyra at their cabin deep in the Cascades on six different occasions, each lasting four or five days. We had many wonderful meals and conversations together.

Hey Phil,

I'm grateful for this man's dedication to sharing his gifts of knowledge and wisdom about God. I felt a shot of sadness for those who miss him, like you, but I also felt a shot of thrilling happiness for his going Home to the Lord.

I pray that the Holy Spirit move in the hearts of his family and friends to bring comfort and deep peace.
