That was a good talk, though I didn't watch all of it.
To me it all comes down to a sophisticated version of the mind-body problem and, surprisingly, ends up getting us no closer to a resolution. And what about phenomena such as precognition and telepathy? They're not well documented scientifically, but I'm sure we've all either had personal experience of them or we know people who have. How do they correlate to material phenomena operating under the laws of physics and chemistry? The more we know, the more mysterious God becomes. I'm reminded of St. Augustine's dictum: Si comprehendis, non est Deus. "If you can understand it, it ain't God." |
