Dear forum,

Let's try a little experiment. I've set the permissions so that guests can reply/comment to topics already open in the General Topics category. We seem to have a good flow of unregistered guests, so hopefully some will feel free to comment.

Only registered users may start a new topic in any forum, and reply to topics in the Specialized Studies category.

If it gets to spammy or trollish, I'll change the permissions again.

Well, the spam-bots finally found us and were posting the usual filth on various threads. I've grown weary deleting the stuff so we're back to posting by registered users only.
