Hi all,

I received news this morning that my father died during the night, probably from an aneurism. This is quite a shock, as he was in reasonably good health last week when I visited Louisiana and even when I talked with him on the phone last night. Dad was 81 and had lived life to the full.

Please remember our family in prayer these days.

Sorry to hear about that, Phil. My best to you and your family during what has to be a difficult time. I never knew your father but if you're a chip off the block, he must have been a very good block indeed.

Thank you all for your prayers and kind remarks. It's been a hectic, tumultuous week, but aside from just being really, really tired, I'm doing well. Settling the estate and going through tons of "stuff" is the next step, and that will be a big deal, but we'll get through it all.
