Just a thought about the physical damage your concerned with over so many years of drug use: you might consider some nutrients that are well researched for helping the body strengthen and gently cleanse itself. I'm thinking, in particular, of n-acetyl-cysteine (an amino acid used for, among other things, Tylenol toxicity) and a standardized extract of milk thistle, or sylimarin.
You can do a literature review yourself by googling "Pubmed" (without the parentheses) and then typing in the name of the amino acid and then another keyword like "liver." Be sure you're in the Pubmed link under the search window, as there are various choices. After you click, you'll then see a bibliography, or author list, which you click on to pull up the abstracts summarizing the research.
