Even before the recent earthquake, the situation in Haiti was dismal. I strongly urge those who feel stirred to action to support relief efforts, and of course to have the victims and aid workers in their prayers.

I myself am donating to Medecins Sans Frontieres -- but there are numerous organisations doing excellent work (and unfortunately more than a few scams).
