Who'd like to vote on how the U.N. will proceed with this one?

If the resolution was to condemn the "deliberate killing of innocent people" in the name of religion, rejecting it would be unconscienable. I'm not sure from the link posted what the wording is.

The recent fatwa against such by North American moslem groups is a step in the right direction. Note that some are calling for even stronger condemnations:

Maybe I'm just being cynical, here, but I wonder why such a move took so long? I wonder if it would have ever happened had the targets continued to be Jews in the Middle East? Oh well, better late than never . . .

Phil:

Sorry to potentially dash hope, but that fatwa from a North American Muslim group appears to have a serious caveat:

Here's perhaps the premier site for scrutizing the U.N.'s behavior:

Be sure you look at the map link that reveals the horrific bias of the U.N. re: human rights violations. This alone shows its inimical regard for democratic society.

And, of course . . . . .

http://www.eyeontheun.org/facts.asp?1=1&p=16

UN member states - democratic?

Number of UN member states that are full-fledged democracies or "fully free" according to Freedom House: 88

Number of UN member states: 191

Percentage of UN member states which are full-fledged democracies: 46%
