WC, would you be so kind as to define what you mean by "hospice" in this context? It sounds like a very programme, but hospice means slightly different things in different contexts.
Where I live, for example, it generally refers to accommodation offered to the down-and-out, be they drug abusers, alcoholics and/or homeless.
Thanks for the clarification. And who, by and large, runs these programmes? Are they not part of the public health programme / public hospitals et al? Or are they instead run by volunteer organisations or privately owned, and dependent on reimbursement for the important and dignified service they provide, in order to remain economically viable?
